Energy park management 2.0 – More than just providing energy

At CONENGA Group, “energy park management” stands for intelligent and future-oriented control and ongoing optimization of energy parks. The aim is to efficiently master technical, economic and ecological challenges in day-to-day operations.

The complexity of supply security in modern energy plant networks results from the interaction of several factors: different fuels, dynamic market conditions such as strongly fluctuating electricity prices and the simultaneous creation and use of degrees of freedom in the overall system require optimum operational management.

The requirement to be able to implement flexible driving modes at the touch of a button, different operating modes – such as electricity-led, heat-led or emission-optimized (with minimal fossil CO-emissions) must be realized reliably and in consideration of all economic framework conditions.

As CONENGA Group, we have set ourselves the goal of providing innovative solutions for these new requirements.

With the targeted use of forecast values, soft sensors, anomaly detection and other AI-based applications, we are showing a forward-looking way to master the challenges of the energy transition and make energy parks fit for the future.

Modular, scalable, powerful: EPOC® Suite

Our EPOC® suite with its higher-level functions, provides the basis for centralized control and regulation of energy systems – ideally also in conjunction with other systems. It comprises the following core functions:

  • Process optimization
    Improving the control and process technology of energy systems and consumers in order to cut costs, increase efficiency and reduce emissions. This creates new degrees of freedom that are available to the higher-level energy park management system.
  • Data recording and visualization
    Continuous recording of all relevant data from different sources and clear visualization in real time.
  • Alarm and fault messages
    Fast detection and reporting of faults and deviations from optimum operation.
  • Reporting and analysis
    Creation of reports, evaluations and analyses for internal and external purposes as well as for continuous system optimization and adaptation to new circumstances.

In order to optimally fulfill customer-specific requirements, the EPOC® Modules and toolboxes to the core functions mentioned. The EPOC® ® Suite is therefore ideally suited as the “brain” of modern energy parks and their customers – such as production plants or supply networks.

Optimization as a continuous process

We are aware that an optimization process is never complete, but always reaches a certain level of maturity. That is why EPOC ® Suite is designed in such a way that new interfaces can be integrated at any time. For example, we are currently working intensively on connecting battery storage systems in order to optimally integrate them into the required operating modes. With the help of our dynamic simulation tools, the integration of new systems into the overall system at the optimum point and their added value for operational success can also be demonstrated.
